MCP: How to connect PromptLab to Claude
Add PromptLab to Claude on the web, the desktop app or Claude Code, in five short steps.
Updated October 1, 2026
Once connected, Claude can look up your accounts, quotes and meetings in PromptLab and log notes and tasks for you. It only sees what your PromptLab account can see.
Before you start
- A paid PromptLab plan (Basic or higher).
- About two minutes.
Step 1: Copy the PromptLab address
In PromptLab, open Settings → Apps → AI Assistants. On the Claude card, click the copy button next to the address.
https://trypromptlab.com/mcp
Step 2: Open Connectors in Claude
In Claude, on the web or in the desktop app, open Settings and click Connectors under Customize.

Step 3: Add PromptLab as a custom connector
Click Add, then Add custom connector. Type promptlab as the name, paste the address and click Continue.

Step 4: Sign in and allow access
Click Connect next to PromptLab. A PromptLab page opens: sign in if asked, check that it says Claude is requesting access, then click Allow access.

Step 5: Turn PromptLab on in a chat
Start a new chat. In the tools menu under the message box, make sure PromptLab is switched on, then ask a question. Claude shows Used promptlab integration when it answers from PromptLab.

Using Claude Code instead
Run this in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http promptlab https://trypromptlab.com/mcpThen open Claude Code, type /mcp, choose promptlab and sign in. Click Allow access in the browser page that opens.

Check it works
Ask a question about your own data, for example:
“What meetings do I have this week, and which accounts are they with?”
If the answer uses your real accounts and meetings, you're connected.
Disconnect
In PromptLab, open Settings → Apps → AI Assistants and click Revoke access on the Claude card. Claude stops reaching PromptLab straight away.
