PromptLab vs Dynamics 365
Whether an industrial sales team needs Microsoft's CRM, or a lighter one built for its sale
Dynamics 365 Sales is Microsoft's enterprise CRM, at its best next to a Microsoft ERP. PromptLab is a self-serve CRM for industrial sales teams. Here is where each one fits, including where Dynamics still wins.

The short version
Dynamics 365 Sales is the natural choice for a manufacturer already on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Business Central: same vendor, same sign-in, native Teams and Outlook. It's $65, $105 or $150 per user a month, billed annually.
PromptLab is a self-serve CRM for industrial sales teams. Recording, transcripts, quotes and samples are on every plan, and Claude and ChatGPT connect to it directly.
How we wrote this
We build PromptLab, so read this as a competitor's comparison. Every page under /compare follows the same rules: we name where the other product is better, we check competitor facts on their own pages and print the date, and we only describe PromptLab features that ship today.
Section by section
Pricing
Dynamics 365 Sales is $65 (Professional), $105 (Enterprise) or $150 (Premium) per user a month, billed annually. Conversation intelligence — call recording and transcription — isn't in Professional. Premium adds 1,000 Copilot Credits per user a month.
PromptLab is $11.99, $23.99 or $39.99 per user a month, with recording on every plan.
Verdict:
PromptLab costs a fraction of Dynamics per seat, with recording from the first plan.
Living next to the ERP
If orders, inventory and finance already run in Dynamics 365, the Sales app shares their data platform and identity. No separate CRM can match that.
PromptLab keeps quotes, samples, price lists and sales orders inside the CRM itself, and integrates with Acumatica.
Verdict:
On a Microsoft ERP, Dynamics fits tighter. Without one — on Acumatica or on spreadsheets — PromptLab is quicker to put to work.
Copilot, agents and MCP
Copilot in Dynamics 365 Sales drafts emails, summarises records and runs prebuilt sales agents on Enterprise and Premium. Its MCP server connects agents through Copilot Studio, which uses Copilot Studio credits; Microsoft's documentation lists Claude Desktop as not supported.
PromptLab's MCP server works with Claude and ChatGPT on every paid plan, and its own assistant, summaries and follow-up drafts are included in the seat.
Verdict:
If your team works in Claude or ChatGPT, PromptLab is the shorter path.
