PromptLabIn the CRM from $11.99/seat

lemlist is a dedicated outreach tool that combines cold email, LinkedIn steps, a lead database and its lemwarm warm-up tool. PromptLab is a CRM for B2B teams that sell products, with cold email built in as campaigns. The real question is whether outreach gets its own tool next to your CRM, or runs as sequences inside the CRM.

Below, the two are compared on price, the channels in a sequence, warm-up, lead data and CRM links. We make PromptLab, so every figure comes from lemlist's own pricing and product pages and PromptLab's pricing page, and we say where lemlist is stronger. Prices are a month, lemlist billed annually and PromptLab per user billed monthly, unless we say otherwise.

Pricing: $55 to $87 against $11.99 to $99

lemlist's Email plan is $55 a month with unlimited users and unlimited email senders, sized by email volume. Multichannel is $87 a month, priced by number of users, with 5 senders per user. Enterprise is custom, there is a 14-day trial, and yearly billing saves 20%. Lead data is paid for in credits.

PromptLab Basic is $11.99 a user a month, Professional $23.99 and Business $99, with a 14-day trial on Basic and Professional. Billed yearly on both sides, lemlist Email comes to $660 for the account and PromptLab Basic to $99 a user, so PromptLab costs less up to six users ($594) and more from seven ($693). lemlist's price buys the outreach tool; PromptLab's buys the CRM, with campaigns on every plan.

Channels in a sequence

lemlist's Multichannel plan adds LinkedIn automation, SMS automation, a WhatsApp add-on and a built-in call dialer to the email steps. lemlist says you can A/B test full sequences with different channel mixes.

PromptLab's campaigns send multi-step email sequences from your own mailboxes, rotating up to 20 per campaign, and stop when the contact replies or the email bounces. You can test subject and body variants, and AI can draft the emails. There are no LinkedIn steps.

Warm-up and lead data

lemlist includes lemwarm and its deliverability protections in all plans, and the Email plan has a 650M+ lead database and an email and phone finder. Unused credits roll over while you stay subscribed.

PromptLab has no warm-up network and no built-in lead database, so you bring your own list. New mailboxes ramp up their daily volume over three weeks, and emails are spaced out within the hours and days you choose.

Where lemlist is stronger

If your outreach goes beyond email, lemlist is the stronger choice. Its Multichannel plan puts LinkedIn and SMS steps beside email, with a call dialer and a WhatsApp add-on, and PromptLab has no LinkedIn steps. lemlist also finds prospects: the lead database and the email and phone finder are in the Email plan.

It also connects to other CRMs. The plan comparison lists HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive, which matters if your deals live somewhere else.

When the sequence lives in the CRM

In PromptLab a reply stops the sequence, and the contact, the deal, its quotes and its notes are already in the same CRM, so there is nothing to sync.

That suits teams who write to accounts they know. If you are building a list from scratch across email and LinkedIn, lemlist fits better.

Which should you choose?

Choose lemlist if…

  • You want LinkedIn and SMS steps in the same sequence as email.
  • You want a 650M+ lead database and an email and phone finder.
  • Your CRM is HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive and you want it linked.

Choose PromptLab if…

  • You want campaigns, deals and quotes in one CRM.
  • You want a reply to stop the sequence without syncing two tools.
  • Your team is small and you want per-user pricing with the CRM included.

Frequently asked questions

Is PromptLab a lemlist alternative?

For email sequences to your own list, yes. For LinkedIn steps, a lead database or a warm-up tool like lemwarm, no: lemlist has those and PromptLab does not.

Is lemlist cheaper than PromptLab?

It depends on team size. Billed yearly, lemlist's Email plan comes to $660 for unlimited users and PromptLab Basic is $99 a user, so PromptLab costs less up to six users and more from seven. lemlist's price includes the lead database and lemwarm; PromptLab's includes the CRM.

Can PromptLab replace lemlist?

If you only email contacts you already have, it can. If you use LinkedIn steps or lemlist's lead data, you would lose them.

Does lemlist work with a CRM?

Yes. Its plan comparison lists CRM integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive, and the Email plan includes them.

Is there a CRM with email sequences built in?

Yes. PromptLab's campaigns send multi-step sequences from up to 20 of your own mailboxes, stop on replies and bounces and test A/B variants, on every plan from $11.99 a user a month with a 14-day free trial.
