Salesforce vs PromptLab

Sales Cloud is the most configurable CRM there is: five editions from $25 to $550 a user a month, Agentforce AI and AppExchange for almost any integration. For a team selling products, quotes and price lists start at $100, call recording is a $50 add-on, and building it usually takes an admin or partner.

Quotes, price lists, sales orders and sample tracking are ready with us the day you sign up, on every plan. Meetings are recorded, summarised and written into the CRM without an engagement add-on. Your sales team sets it up itself, from $11.99 a user a month.

Quotes, price lists and orders on day one

In Salesforce, quotes, price lists and orders start on Pro Suite at $100 a user a month, billed annually. Samples aren't modelled, so tracking them means a custom object someone has to build.

PromptLab ships quotes, price lists, sales orders and sample tracking on the $11.99 Basic plan. They sit on the account and the deal, ready as soon as your customers are imported.

Recording and autofill without an add-on

Call recording, meeting summaries and follow-up drafts live in Sales Engagement, a separate add-on at $50 a user a month. Filling CRM fields from calls starts at $195 a user a month.

We do all of it on every plan: we record the meeting, write the summary, draft the follow-up email and update the deal from what the customer actually said.

Live this week, without a partner project

Its rollout is a project in its own right: objects, flows and page layouts to configure, often with an admin or an implementation partner. The sales team waits until it's done.

There is nothing to build with us. Import accounts and contacts from a spreadsheet, or run the sync both ways during the 14-day free trial while the team decides.

Claude and ChatGPT on every plan

Salesforce supports MCP from $195 a user a month. Connecting Claude or ChatGPT to your CRM data is an upper-edition feature, priced like one.

PromptLab's MCP server comes with every plan. Each rep connects Claude or ChatGPT with their own login, then asks it to look up an account, update a deal or add a note.

How to switch from Salesforce

Four steps to move your team and your data over.

Two CRMs kept in sync both ways
1. Connect Salesforce

Open Settings → Apps, find its card and select Connect. Sign in via the pop-up to approve access.

2. Select Sync now

Accounts, contacts, leads and opportunities come across from it. The sync runs both ways, so the team can work in either system while you switch.

3. Import quotes and orders

Export quotes, sales orders, tasks and notes as CSV or Excel. Select Import on the matching list, upload each file and map the columns.

4. Keep both until you're ready

Leave the sync on for as long as you need. PromptLab's Enterprise plan adds a dedicated account manager and data migration support for the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Is Salesforce a CRM?

Yes. Sales Cloud is the CRM at the heart of its platform. Custom objects, flows and AppExchange apps let it model almost any sales process, given the time and people to build it.

Which is better, Salesforce or PromptLab?

It wins if you need a platform: custom objects, a large partner network and AppExchange cover cases we don't try to. We're the pick if you sell products and want quotes, samples and meeting recording working this week, without an admin.

Is PromptLab cheaper than Salesforce?

Yes. We cost $11.99 to $99 a user a month; it costs $25 to $550, billed annually. Quotes need its $100 Pro Suite and recording a $50 add-on, while we include both from $11.99.

Can I move my data over?

Yes. Connect your current CRM under Settings → Apps and select Sync now to bring accounts, contacts, leads and opportunities across, both ways. Quotes, orders and notes follow from a CSV or Excel export.

Who is PromptLab best for?

Sales teams at manufacturers and distributors that want quotes, samples and meeting recording running without an admin. Large organisations building a custom platform on one vendor are better served by a platform like Sales Cloud.

Sell more. Spend less time on admin.

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
