Pricing: $14 to $36 against $11.99 to $99
Missive's Starter is $14 a user a month for up to 5 users, Productive is $24 for up to 50 users and Business is $36 with unlimited users. Billed monthly they are $18, $30 and $45. There is no free plan; every new team gets a 30-day trial of Productive with no credit card.
PromptLab is $11.99 for Basic, $23.99 for Professional and $99 for Business, billed monthly, with a 14-day free trial on Basic and Professional. Missive's plan is the inbox alone; PromptLab's is the whole CRM. A team that also pays for a CRM pays for both.
Mailboxes and channels
Missive connects Gmail and Google Workspace, Outlook and Office 365, Exchange, iCloud and IMAP accounts. It can also connect SMS and social accounts, including WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, and each user can add up to 5 shared accounts.
PromptLab's inbox connects Gmail, Outlook, Exchange and other IMAP mailboxes, next to WhatsApp and Telegram, on Basic. SMS joins on Professional with a number. It has no Instagram or Messenger. Every thread is linked to its contact and deal.
Working a thread together, and AI
Missive's collaboration features include team inboxes, internal threads, collaborative drafting, assignment and internal chat. From Productive, rules include auto-assignment, and Missive lists SLA and round-robin assignment for WhatsApp. PromptLab has assignment and internal notes on a thread, without SLAs.
Missive's AI assistant needs Productive or Business. It drafts replies in the conversation and can search emails and calendar events. AI credits cost the provider price plus 25%, or a team can bring its own API key. PromptLab has no AI reply drafts in the inbox.
Where Missive is stronger
Missive is stronger on channels and on AI. It reaches Instagram and Messenger, drafts replies with AI, and has rules and API access from Productive, plus SLA and round-robin assignment for WhatsApp. On Business it adds SAML single sign-on and IP restrictions.
Its CRM integrations include HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Close and Daylite, starting on Productive at $24. If your team lives in an email client and uses a CRM you already pay for, Missive slots in beside it.
Threads that sit on the deal
In PromptLab a thread is attached to a contact and a deal, so nothing needs syncing. Quotes, meeting notes and sales orders live on the same deal.
It is built for sales conversations, not a support desk. A team that wants one tool and one price for the CRM and the inbox is the match.
