Pricing: €299 to €499 against $11.99 to $99
Trengo's Boost plan is €299 a month and Pro is €499, billed annually (€349 and €599 billed monthly). Boost includes 10 users and 6,000 conversations a year; Pro includes 20 users and 18,000. Extra users cost €25 a month on Boost and €40 on Pro. Extra conversations cost €15 per 100. Enterprise is custom.
PromptLab Basic, which has the WhatsApp inbox, is $11.99 a user a month; Professional is $23.99 and Business $99, with a 14-day trial on Basic and Professional. Ten PromptLab Basic users, the number Boost includes, cost $119.90 a month, or $990 a year billed yearly. Trengo's plan buys the inbox alone; PromptLab's buys the CRM.
The inbox and its channels
Trengo's inbox takes in WhatsApp, email, Instagram, Facebook and Telegram, and its help centre has set-up guides for TikTok too. It says it is an official Meta Business Partner for the WhatsApp API, and several teammates can share one WhatsApp number.
PromptLab puts WhatsApp, Telegram and email in one shared inbox, with each thread linked to its contact and deal. Connect a WhatsApp Business number, or a personal WhatsApp or Telegram account by scanning a QR code. You can assign a conversation to a teammate and add internal notes. It has no Instagram or Messenger.
Automation and broadcasts
Trengo includes more automation from the first plan. The AI Agent (HelpMate), AI Journeys, auto replies and the website widget are on every plan, Boost included. Broadcasting is an add-on, and so is voice calling on Boost and Pro.
PromptLab's inbox has no chatbots, no auto-replies, no WhatsApp broadcasts and no AI reply drafts. Each chat is answered by a person.
Where Trengo is stronger
Trengo does more for teams that answer many customers. It has an AI agent, AI journeys, auto replies and a website widget on every plan, with broadcasts and voice calling as add-ons. It also covers Instagram and Facebook messages, which PromptLab's inbox does not.
It lists integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, MS Dynamics and Copper, so it can sit beside the CRM you have. Note that Boost and Pro are sold through a demo, and conversations beyond the included number cost extra.
Per user, not per conversation
In PromptLab each chat sits on the contact and the deal, next to the quote and the notes. There is no inbox-to-CRM sync to maintain.
PromptLab is priced per user. Trengo's plans include a set number of conversations a year, and more are bought in blocks of 100.
