If WhatsApp is how you sell, the question is whether it gets a platform of its own next to your CRM or lives inside the CRM.

Pricing: $39 to $199 against $11.99 to $99

Wati's Growth plan is $39 a month, Pro $79 and Business $199, billed annually, with a 7-day trial. Growth includes 3 users and cannot add more; Pro and Business include 5, with extra users at $24 and $59 a month. Message charges come on top, by Wati's rate card, and vary by country and template type.

PromptLab Basic, which has the WhatsApp inbox, is $11.99 a user a month; Professional is $23.99 and Business $99, with a 14-day trial on Basic and Professional. Billed yearly on both sides, Wati Growth comes to $468 for its 3 users and three PromptLab Basic users to $297. Wati's plan is the inbox alone; PromptLab's is the CRM, so a team that also pays for a CRM pays for both.

WhatsApp first, or WhatsApp with Telegram and email

Wati is built around WhatsApp. Its inbox also covers Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and a website widget, and the comparison page lists RCS, with SMS on Business. Its pricing and comparison pages list no Telegram or email channel.

PromptLab covers WhatsApp, Telegram and email in one shared inbox, each thread linked to its contact and deal. Connect a WhatsApp Business number, or a personal WhatsApp or Telegram account by scanning a QR code. There is no Instagram or Messenger.

Broadcasts and chatbots

Wati has broadcasts on every plan: 15,000 a month on Growth, unlimited on Pro and Business. Growth includes 1,000 free automation triggers a month. Advanced chatbots, team and operator routing and Astra AI Agents start on Pro, and Astra is a separately priced add-on.

PromptLab's inbox has no WhatsApp broadcasts, chatbots or auto-replies, and no AI reply drafts. You can assign a chat to a teammate and add internal notes, and a person writes every reply.

Where Wati is stronger

If you message many customers at once, Wati is stronger. Broadcasts, chatbots and AI Agents on the inbox are what it is made for, and PromptLab's inbox has no broadcasts or chatbots. Wati also covers Instagram, Messenger and TikTok.

CRM links come with the plan: Growth includes 2 CRM or commerce integrations, Pro includes 5 including HubSpot, and Business has unlimited including Salesforce. Extra WhatsApp numbers cost $29 a month each, with multiple numbers included on Business.

Sales chats, not campaigns

In PromptLab each WhatsApp thread is on the contact and the deal, next to the quote and the notes. Email and Telegram sit in the same inbox, which Wati's pages do not list.

It fits sales teams who talk to buyers one at a time. It does not fit sending a promotion to thousands of numbers.
