Pricing: $20 to $100 against $11.99 to $99
EZ Texting has Launch at $20 a month for up to 500 contacts, Boost at $60 for 500 to 2,000 contacts and Scale at $100 for 2,000 to 50,000 contacts, all billed annually. Enterprise, for 50,000+ contacts, starts at $3,000 a month. Each of the first three includes one user and 500 credits a month, and overage credits cost $0.04, $0.035 and $0.03.
PromptLab has Basic at $11.99, Professional at $23.99 and Business at $99 a user, billed monthly. Texting is on Professional, so $23.99 a user buys the SMS and the whole CRM. A team that also pays for a CRM beside EZ Texting pays for both. Both have a 14-day free trial, and neither has a free plan.
Marketing texts or one-to-one replies
EZ Texting covers marketing as well as conversation. Every plan includes keywords, QR codes, sign-up forms, drip campaigns, keyword auto-replies, a team inbox and an open API. An SMS is 1 credit and an MMS is 3.
PromptLab's texting is one to one. It has two-way SMS in the same inbox as email, WhatsApp and Telegram, each text on its contact, with STOP and START handled. It has no mass texts, no SMS campaigns, no other keywords and no automated texts.
Number types and integrations
EZ Texting's options are a local number (10DLC), a dedicated short code, a toll-free number or a text-enabled landline. Launch includes a local number and is subject to a telecom fee, which Boost and Scale waive. Scale adds a high-speed number and an onboarding specialist.
EZ Texting lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Squarespace, Zapier and Zendesk. PromptLab's Professional plan includes one local US or Canadian number, and the CRM is built in, so there is no integration to set up.
Where EZ Texting is stronger
EZ Texting is the tool for sending to a list. Mass texts, keywords, drip campaigns and auto-replies are all on its entry plan, and PromptLab has none of them. QR codes and sign-up forms come with every plan too, and it has more number types, including short codes, toll-free and landline texting.
Replies land in a team inbox, and an open API is on every plan. A business whose texting is mainly marketing is better served by EZ Texting.
Texting inside the CRM
In PromptLab the text thread is on the contact, beside their calls and emails, and the same number handles calls. Nothing has to sync.
That fits follow-ups on live deals. It isn't built for a monthly offer sent to a list.

Choose EZ Texting if…
- You send offers or reminders to a contact list and need mass texting.

Choose PromptLab if…
- You text customers one to one, next to their calls and email.
- You want each text on its contact, with no sync.
- You'd rather not pay for a CRM and a texting tool separately.
