Pricing: $23.20 against $20 to $100
SimpleTexting has one plan, priced by volume. 500 texts a month is $23.20 billed annually, or $29 billed monthly, and the pricing page offers tiers up to 50,000 texts. EZ Texting has Launch at $20 a month for up to 500 contacts, Boost at $60 for 500 to 2,000 contacts and Scale at $100 for 2,000 to 50,000 contacts. Enterprise starts at $3,000 a month.
Neither has a free plan. Both offer a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and SimpleTexting adds a 30-day refund guarantee for new customers.
Credits, users and extra costs
On SimpleTexting, extra credits are billed at 5.5 cents each, and a picture message takes 3 credits. Every paid plan includes 3 users, and extra teammates cost $20 a month each. A one-time $4 carrier registration fee applies, and carrier fees are extra.
EZ Texting's Launch, Boost and Scale plans each include 6k yearly credits, which is 500 a month, and one user. Overage credits are $0.04 on Launch, $0.035 on Boost and $0.03 on Scale. Launch is subject to a telecom fee, which Boost and Scale waive. An SMS is 1 credit and an MMS is 3.
Numbers and keywords
On EZ Texting, a local number comes with Launch. Boost has a local high-volume number, and Scale has a high-volume, high-speed one with an onboarding specialist. Number options also include a dedicated short code, toll-free number or text-enabled landline.
SimpleTexting's estimate adds $10 a month for a local number, and additional numbers are $10 a month each. Local, toll-free or dedicated short code numbers are offered. Both include keywords: SimpleTexting offers unlimited text-to-join keywords, and EZ Texting includes keywords, QR codes and sign-up forms on every plan.
Automation and integrations
Both include automated texts. SimpleTexting has auto-replies and drip campaigns on every plan, and EZ Texting has drip campaigns and keyword auto-replies. EZ Texting also has a team inbox and an open API.
SimpleTexting includes Mailchimp and Zapier integrations, and connects to Salesforce and HubSpot through Zapier. EZ Texting lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Squarespace, Zapier and Zendesk, and its HubSpot integration is a certified app in the HubSpot Marketplace, so it is the closer fit for a team that works in HubSpot.
We make PromptLab, so here is where it fits.
Or text from inside your CRM
PromptLab's Professional plan includes two-way SMS from a local US or Canadian number, in the same inbox as email, WhatsApp and Telegram. Each text sits on the contact it was sent to.
Contacts who reply STOP are opted out, and START opts them back in. There are no mass texts or SMS campaigns, so it fits one-to-one sales conversations rather than broadcasts.
