Reporting: Sales Decisions Backed by Customer Data
Build custom reports on pipeline activity, win/loss outcomes, and stage-by-stage deal drop-off to make decisions backed by real customer data.
Reporting gives you the ability to build any custom report about any aspect of your sales process — pipeline activity, conversation outcomes, win/loss rates, and where deals are dropping off between stages. Instead of relying on gut feel or waiting for a manager to pull data, you create the exact view you need in minutes and share it with your team. Every report is built from real customer interaction data, not stale CRM snapshots.
Key capabilities
Custom report builder
Choose any data source, select your metrics, apply filters, and save a report — no SQL or data exports required.
Pipeline drop-off analysis
Pinpoint exactly where deals are falling out of your funnel between stages to identify and fix systemic issues in your sales process.
Win/loss reporting
Analyze closed deals by outcome, rep, product line, or customer segment to understand what drives wins and what causes losses.
Full pipeline visibility
Give your entire team a shared view of what's happening across all deals — without relying on outdated CRM data or manual updates.
Actionable analytics: from guessing to knowing
Every report in PromptLab is built from the same data that drives your pipeline — recorded calls, sent quotes, deal stage changes, and customer interactions. When you build a report on win rates or pipeline velocity, you're looking at what actually happened, not what reps manually logged.
Revenue oversight: track stage-by-stage drop-off
The Pipeline drop-off report shows how many deals entered each stage and how many advanced to the next one. If deals are consistently stalling between Proposal sent and Negotiation, that's a systemic issue — not a one-off. Identifying the drop-off point lets you focus coaching, process improvements, and resources where they'll have the most impact.
Pipeline activity reports
Pipeline activity reports show deal movement over any time period: deals created, deals advanced, deals closed, and deals stalled. Filter by rep, region, product line, or account type to slice the data exactly how you need it.
Getting started with Reporting
Navigate to Reporting
Click Reporting in the left navigation. You'll see your saved reports and a Create report button at the top right.
Select a data source
Click Create report and choose your primary data source:
- Deals — pipeline stages, values, and outcomes
- Activities — calls, emails, meetings, and tasks
- Contacts — engagement by contact role or company
- Quotes — quote volume, win rates, and margin data
Your data source determines which metrics and filters are available.
Choose your metrics
Select the metrics you want to measure — deal count, total value, average deal size, conversion rate, or activity volume. Add a second metric to create a comparison view, or stack metrics to build a multi-dimensional report.
Apply filters
Narrow your report by date range, deal stage, assigned rep, account type, product line, or any other available dimension. Filters stack — you can combine as many as needed to isolate exactly the data you want.
Save and name your report
Click Save report, give it a descriptive name, and choose whether to make it private or visible to your team. Saved reports appear in your Reporting dashboard for quick access.
Share high-value reports — like weekly pipeline health or monthly win/loss summaries — with your team by clicking Share on the report. You can also schedule recurring delivery by email so stakeholders get a fresh copy automatically without logging in.
Reports reflect data as of the moment you load them. Refresh a report at any time by clicking the Refresh button in the top right corner of the report view.
