Proton.ai pricing in 2026

Proton.ai doesn't publish prices: you book a demo and get a quote. Here is what that means for a buyer, what the platform covers, and how PromptLab compares.

Proton.ai doesn't publish its prices. You book a demo, talk through your ERP, catalogue and setup, and its team quotes you afterwards. There is no price list to read and no free trial to try first.

So the honest answer to "how much does Proton.ai cost?" is that nobody outside a sales call can say. This post explains how the quote model works, what you get for it, and how to compare it with a CRM whose price is on the page. Everything below is from Proton.ai's own pages, as checked on 30 September 2026.

How does Proton.ai pricing work?

Pricing is custom, and it is set by quote after a demo. That is the whole model: one offer, shaped by your system and your catalogue, with no tiers on a public page.

Proton.ai is built for distributors. It plugs into the ERP, including AS/400 green screens, and tells reps who to call, what to sell and who is due to reorder, across catalogues as large as 500,000 SKUs. The CRM is one product inside that platform, alongside product data, e-commerce, and quote and order entry, all fed by the ERP. A quote that reflects all of that is not a surprise, but it is also not comparable with a per-seat CRM.

We can't give you a number, and we won't guess one.

What does a custom quote mean for a buyer?

Three things change when there is no public price.

You can't compare before you talk. With a published price you can put two or three CRMs side by side in an afternoon. Here you book a demo, describe your ERP and catalogue, and wait for packaging from the team.

You can't try it first. There is no free trial, so the first time your reps use it on real customers is after you have signed.

You can't budget from the website. A finance lead who wants a figure for next year's plan has to go through a sales process to get one.

None of this makes Proton.ai a bad product. It is how a platform that connects to your ERP is often sold. It just means the first cost is your time.

What does Proton.ai include?

With a single quoted offer, the table below shows what Proton.ai's own pages say it has. A tick means it is there, and a cross means Proton.ai doesn't offer it.

The strengths are real. Reorder prompts, product recommendations and quote and order entry fed from your system of record are things we don't match out of the box. Reps can also prepare for a call with its assistant, Pronto, and log notes by voice between stops.

The gaps are on the conversation side. Meetings aren't recorded, so what the buyer said survives only in the rep's notes. Outlook and Gmail email logs to customer records, but WhatsApp and Telegram stay on each rep's phone.

What are the hidden costs?

We can't list fees Proton.ai doesn't publish, so we won't invent any. What we can point to are the costs a quote model hides until later.

  • Your time before you sign. The demo, the ERP conversation and the wait for packaging all come first.
  • Integration work. The product is built around your ERP, so set-up depends on your system. Ask who does that work and who pays for it.
  • Switching cost. With no trial and no documented self-serve export, leaving later means asking its team for a file. Our guide to moving from Proton.ai shows how that works.

Proton.ai vs PromptLab on price

PromptLab is priced per user: Basic at $11.99 a month or $99 a year, Professional at $23.99 a month or $199 a year, and Business at $99 a month or $948 a year. Basic and Professional start with a 14-day free trial, with no card needed. There is no free plan.

Here is what that costs for a team, with the seat counts as examples. We can't fill in a Proton.ai column, because it has no published figure.

Team sizeBasic, billed monthlyBasic, billed yearlyProfessional, billed monthlyProfessional, billed yearly
5 users$719.40$495$1,439.40$995
10 users$1,438.80$990$2,878.80$1,990
25 users$3,597$2,475$7,197$4,975

Those are seats × $11.99 × 12 or seats × $23.99 × 12 for monthly billing, and seats × $99 or seats × $199 for yearly. You can read them today, and start the trial with your own accounts the same day.

Whether Proton.ai comes out cheaper or dearer depends on a quote we haven't seen. If you want the ERP-fed reorder prompts, that may be worth paying for. If you want to see the price and try the product this week, that is what we offer.

Is Proton.ai worth it for a product sales team?

For a large distributor with ERP data to mine, it can be. Reorder prompts and recommendations fed from your system across a big catalogue are what it was built for. Our Proton.ai alternatives list covers what to weigh against it.

For a team that wants a known price, a trial and recorded meetings, we recommend PromptLab. See the full Proton.ai vs PromptLab comparison, the distributors page, or our pricing.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Proton.ai cost?

Proton.ai doesn't publish its prices. Pricing is custom and quoted by its team after a demo, so there is no figure to give.

Does Proton.ai have a free trial?

No. You book a demo first and get a quote from its team before you can use it.

Does Proton.ai have different plans?

Not publicly. Its pricing is one custom offer, shaped by your ERP and catalogue after the demo.

Is PromptLab cheaper than Proton.ai?

We can't say for certain, because Proton.ai's price is only given by quote. Ours is public, $11.99 to $99 a user a month, with a 14-day free trial on Basic and Professional.

Can I move from Proton.ai to PromptLab?

Yes. Export customers, quotes and orders from your ERP, ask Proton.ai's team for anything created only there, then import the files into PromptLab and map the columns.
