Salesforce Sales Cloud has five editions, from $25 to $550 a user a month, billed annually. The edition a product team needs isn't the cheapest one. Quotes, sales orders and price lists start on Pro Suite at $100, and CRM autofill, MCP and the API at $195.
Call recording isn't in any edition. It sits in Sales Engagement, a separate add-on at $50 a user a month. Here is what each step costs for 5, 10 and 25 users, from Salesforce's own pricing pages as checked on 30 September 2026.

What do the Sales Cloud editions include?
The entry edition, at $25 a user a month, covers pipelines, workflow automation, email sync and single sign-on. Pro Suite, at $100, adds quotes, sales orders and price lists. The $195 edition adds CRM fields filled in from calls, MCP for Claude and ChatGPT, and the API. The top edition is $550.
Salesforce's strength is that it is the most configurable CRM there is, with Agentforce AI and AppExchange for almost any integration. That flexibility is also where the cost sits, because building it usually takes an admin or an implementation partner.
Which edition do you need for each feature?
A tick means the $25 entry edition has it. "From $100/month" names the cheapest edition that does. "Add-on" means a separate paid product, and "Via marketplace" means a third-party app.

Read it as three bands. At $25 you get the pipeline, workflows, email sync and single sign-on. At $100 the quote-to-order records arrive. At $195 come autofill, MCP and the API. Sample tracking is missing at every price: samples aren't modelled, so tracking them means a custom object someone has to build.
How much does Salesforce cost for 5, 10 and 25 users?
Yearly seat totals, billed annually, at the entry edition, at Pro Suite (the first with quotes and orders) and at the $195 edition that adds autofill and MCP.
| Edition | 5 users | 10 users | 25 users |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry edition ($25 a user a month) | $1,500 (5 × $25 × 12) | $3,000 (10 × $25 × 12) | $7,500 (25 × $25 × 12) |
| Pro Suite ($100 a user a month) | $6,000 (5 × $100 × 12) | $12,000 (10 × $100 × 12) | $30,000 (25 × $100 × 12) |
| $195 edition | $11,700 (5 × $195 × 12) | $23,400 (10 × $195 × 12) | $58,500 (25 × $195 × 12) |
For a 10-person team that wants quotes and orders, the realistic starting point is $12,000 a year, not $3,000.
What are Salesforce's hidden costs?
The big one is Sales Engagement, the add-on that holds call recording, meeting summaries and follow-up drafts, at $50 a user a month. Add it to Pro Suite and the yearly bill becomes ($100 + $50) × 12 a seat: $9,000 for 5 users, $18,000 for 10 and $45,000 for 25.
Then there's the build. Objects, flows and page layouts need configuring, often by an admin or an implementation partner, and that work isn't in the seat price. WhatsApp and the dialer are add-ons too.
Salesforce vs PromptLab on price
PromptLab has three plans, each priced per user: Basic at $11.99 a month or $99 a year, Professional at $23.99 a month or $199 a year, and Enterprise at $99 a month or $948 a year. Quotes, sales orders, price lists and meeting recording are all on Basic, so there's no add-on to price in. There is no free plan. Basic and Professional come with a 14-day free trial.
| Team size | Pro Suite + Sales Engagement | PromptLab Basic, billed yearly | PromptLab Basic, billed monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 users | $9,000 | $495 | $719.40 |
| 10 users | $18,000 | $990 | $1,438.80 |
| 25 users | $45,000 | $2,475 | $3,597 |
Our columns are seats × $99 billed yearly, or seats × $11.99 × 12 billed monthly.
Salesforce wins if you need a platform: custom objects, a large partner network and AppExchange cover cases we don't try to. It also puts single sign-on in the $25 entry edition, where ours comes with Enterprise, so a team that needs SSO above all pays less there. For a product team that needs quotes, orders and recorded meetings, though, the gap is wide: $18,000 a year for 10 users on Salesforce before any build, against $990 on our Basic plan billed yearly, with sample tracking and a WhatsApp and Telegram Inbox included.

Is Sales Cloud worth it for a product sales team?
Sales Cloud is a serious platform, priced like one. If your company needs custom objects and a partner ecosystem, it earns the money. If you sell products to B2B buyers and mostly need quotes, orders, samples, recorded meetings and chat threads in one place, PromptLab does that for a small share of the cost, and we recommend it.
