Pricing: $19 to $49 against $10 to $40
DocuSign has the lower top end. Personal costs $10 and allows 5 envelopes a month, Standard costs $25 a user and Business Pro $40, with 100 envelopes per user a year on each. Enhanced plans are priced by quote.
PandaDoc costs $19 on Starter and $49 on Business, with Enterprise by quote. It also has a free plan of 5 documents a month, which DocuSign does not list. DocuSign's pricing page also lists $11, $30 and $45 a month for annual plans billed monthly.
Proposals, templates and pricing tables
This is where they differ most. PandaDoc has pricing tables, a product catalogue and a content library on Business at $49, and starts quotes from templates. DocuSign has reusable templates on every plan, and its plans page doesn't list pricing tables or a product catalogue.
A team that sends priced proposals gets more from PandaDoc. A team that already has the document and only needs a signature may find DocuSign enough.
E-signatures and payments
Both include e-signatures from their first paid plan. PandaDoc includes unlimited e-signatures from Starter, while DocuSign caps envelopes by plan. DocuSign says its signatures are legally recognised in the United States under the ESIGN Act and state versions of UETA.
Both collect payments during signing, and both gate it. PandaDoc needs Business at $49. DocuSign needs Business Pro at $40 and takes cards, ACH, SEPA, Apple Pay and Google Pay through gateways such as Stripe.
Tracking and CRM integrations
PandaDoc shows real-time tracking and notifications on every plan and recipient analytics on Business. DocuSign lists real-time document status updates, notifications and reminders on every plan.
For CRMs, PandaDoc has embedded links to HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive from Business. DocuSign lists apps for Salesforce and HubSpot, and generating documents from Salesforce is part of its Enhanced plans.
We make PromptLab, so here is where it fits.
Or quote from inside your CRM
PromptLab builds quotes from your products and price lists, with a discount on each line, then gives you a PDF and a link the customer can open. The quote stays on the deal, with its status from draft to approved.
When the customer agrees, the order lives in the same CRM as a sales order with its invoice. There are no e-signatures, payments or view tracking, so pair it with a signing tool if your contracts need one.
