What is a sales pipeline template?
A sales pipeline template is a board of deals grouped by stage, with what each one is worth and what has to happen next. It answers the two questions a sales meeting is about: where is every deal, and what is the next step on it.
In PromptLab it is a list over your opportunities. The list adds four columns, Stage, Deal Value, Priority and Next Step, and its board is grouped by stage, so you can run a pipeline for one team, one product or one quarter without changing the opportunities themselves.
What's inside
| Field | Type | Choices and details |
|---|---|---|
| Opportunities | Your CRM record | The opportunities in the list |
| Stage | Status | Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Won, Lost |
| Deal Value | Currency | USD |
| Priority | Select | Low, Medium, High |
| Next Step | Text |
1Four columns on every opportunity in the list
Stage runs Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Won and Lost. Deal Value is a currency column, Priority is Low, Medium or High, and Next Step is a line of text. In the example, Northwind expansion is at Proposal for $120,000 with the next step to review the proposal with their CFO.

2A board you can drag
The list's board groups opportunities by Stage. Drag a card to another column to change its stage, the way Stackwise renewal would move from Negotiation to Won once payment terms are agreed.

3Filled from your own opportunities
The rows in these pictures are examples. When the template is installed, the list is filled with your workspace's most recent opportunities and example values for the four columns, so you can see it working and then overwrite the values with real ones. A brand-new workspace has no opportunities yet, so its list starts empty until you add some.
