Dynamics 365 Sales review

Our Dynamics 365 Sales review for B2B product sales: strong quotes and orders for Microsoft shops, but recording and autofill sit on pricier tiers.

REVIEW 2026Dynamics 365

We make PromptLab, a competing CRM, so we're not an impartial reviewer. Prices and plan limits come from Microsoft's own pricing and documentation pages, and we say where Dynamics 365 Sales is the stronger choice.

The verdict: Dynamics 365 Sales is the natural CRM for a company built on Microsoft, with quotes, price lists and orders included from the first plan. The climb is steep: meeting recording starts at $105, and autofill and MCP at $150. There is also no sample tracking.

What Dynamics 365 Sales does well

It is the natural fit for a Microsoft company. It works inside Outlook and Teams, and sits beside Microsoft's wider family of business apps, ERP included. A firm already standardised on Microsoft keeps one vendor.

Quotes, price lists and orders are built in. From Professional at $65 a user a month, billed annually, you get quotes, sales orders and price lists on the first plan, with nothing to add.

Enterprise basics are covered. Single sign-on, workflow automation, the API and email sync are all included. A free trial is available.

There is room to grow. Three plans run from $65 to $150, and conversation intelligence, CRM autofill and MCP arrive as you climb. For a large organisation with IT staff, that ladder suits.

Where Dynamics 365 Sales falls short for B2B product sales

The order features are good. The cost of getting everything else is the problem.

  • Meeting recording, summaries, follow-up drafts and the dialer start on Enterprise at $105 a user a month, billed annually. On Professional, reps write up their own calls.
  • CRM autofill and MCP start on Premium at $150. The Sales MCP server needs Copilot Studio admin rights and Copilot credits, and Microsoft's own docs say Claude Desktop isn't supported at this time.
  • No sample tracking at any tier.
  • WhatsApp and LinkedIn tools are add-ons. Telegram isn't supported.
  • Setup. An admin has environments, security roles, apps, licences and Copilot credits to decide, and many companies bring in a Microsoft partner.

A distributor with ten reps who wants recorded calls needs Enterprise, at $1,050 a month billed annually. Add CRM autofill and it's Premium, at $1,500. Ten seats on our Basic plan, with both, cost $119.90 a month. See Dynamics 365 Sales pricing for the arithmetic.

Our verdict

Choose Dynamics 365 Sales if your company runs on Microsoft and has people to configure the system. Its order features and Outlook and Teams fit are genuine strengths.

Choose PromptLab if your sales team wants to run its own CRM. Quotes, price lists, sales orders and sample tracking are included. So are meeting recording and CRM autofill, with Claude and ChatGPT access over MCP, from $11.99 a user a month, billed monthly.
