Dynamics 365 Sales and HubSpot are both suites, built for different companies. Dynamics 365 is Microsoft's family of business apps, ERP included, and Sales is its CRM; it works inside Outlook and Teams. HubSpot is an all-in-one suite with a free CRM and strong marketing tools.

Below, the two are compared on price, quoting, calls and AI, MCP, and setup. Every figure comes from the vendors' own pricing and product pages; prices are per user a month, billed annually, unless we say otherwise.

Pricing: from $65, or from free

Dynamics 365 Sales has three plans, from $65 to $150 a user a month. HubSpot's Smart CRM is free, and its Sales Hub plans run from $7 on Starter to $150.

HubSpot is the cheaper start by a distance. Its Professional and Enterprise plans do carry a one-off onboarding fee of $1,500 to $3,500. The top plans cost the same, $150, on both sides.

Quotes, orders and price lists

Dynamics 365 Sales builds quotes, sales orders and price lists in from Professional at $65. That matters for a company that sells products.

HubSpot now keeps quoting in Revenue Hub, a separate product sold on top of Sales Hub, and has no sales orders or price lists. Neither tracks samples.

Call recording and AI

HubSpot records and transcribes calls from Sales Hub Professional at $90 a seat, and the same plan drafts follow-ups and fills CRM fields from calls. Meeting summaries are available on its entry plan.

Dynamics 365 puts recording, summaries, follow-up drafts and the dialer on Enterprise at $105. Filling CRM fields needs Premium at $150. HubSpot gets there $15 to $60 cheaper, depending on the feature.

MCP and connecting Claude

HubSpot has MCP. Dynamics 365's Sales MCP server starts on Premium at $150 a user, needs Copilot Studio admin rights and Copilot credits, and Microsoft's docs say Claude Desktop isn't supported at this time.

API access is available on every plan of both.

Setup, ecosystem and add-ons

Dynamics 365 is the natural CRM for a Microsoft company, especially one on a Dynamics ERP with IT staff to configure it. It gives an admin environments, security roles, apps, licences and Copilot credits to decide, and many companies bring in a Microsoft partner. Single sign-on is included.

HubSpot's draw is the suite, with marketing tools few rivals match. WhatsApp is an add-on on both and neither supports Telegram. LinkedIn is an add-on on Dynamics 365 and starts at $150 on HubSpot, where single sign-on starts too.

We make PromptLab, so here is where it fits.
