Pricing: $18 to $29 against $11.99 to $99

tl;dv Pro is $18 a seat a month and Business $29, with Enterprise priced on request. PromptLab's plans are Basic at $11.99, Professional at $23.99 and Business at $99, billed monthly, with meeting notes on Basic. On the first paid plan PromptLab is the lower figure.

But the plans buy different things. tl;dv's is the note-taker alone. PromptLab's is the whole CRM, with the notes included. A team that also pays for a CRM pays for both.

What the free plan includes

tl;dv's Free plan has unlimited recordings and transcription, but only 10 meetings with AI notes and 10 Ask AI queries, and data is kept for up to 3 months. Business can be tried free from the pricing page, which doesn't state a trial length.

PromptLab has no free plan; Basic and Professional come with a 14-day free trial. If you want recordings and transcripts without paying anything, tl;dv's free plan gives you that and PromptLab doesn't.

Languages, platforms and limits

tl;dv transcribes in 30+ languages; PromptLab in more than 30. The two are close. Both join Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls, and tl;dv works with those calls on iOS and Android too.

tl;dv's recording limit is 3 hours on every plan. Pro includes custom bot appearance, an API, webhooks and an MCP server. Claude and ChatGPT can connect to PromptLab over MCP on every plan.

AI notes, follow-ups and CRM sync

tl;dv Pro adds unlimited AI notes, custom note templates, action item assignment and an email follow-up drafter. Multi-meeting Ask AI is limited to 5 queries on Free and Pro and unlimited on Business. PromptLab writes a summary, creates action items as CRM tasks on the deal and its contacts, drafts a follow-up email, and its Ask AI can search across meeting transcripts.

tl;dv's integrations page lists HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho under CRMs. Pro includes CRM integrations for a personal account, and Business at $29 adds team-wide CRM integrations and automations. In PromptLab the notes sit on the deal, so there is nothing to sync; it does not fill CRM fields after every meeting on its own.

Where tl;dv is stronger

tl;dv is stronger at the free end: unlimited recordings and transcription at no cost, where PromptLab has no free plan. It also works with Zoom, Meet and Teams calls on iOS and Android, and Business adds custom vocabulary and unlimited Ask AI across meetings, with no usage-based AI fees.

And it stays out of your CRM choice. If your team uses HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho and won't leave, tl;dv works beside it.

Which should you choose?

Choose tl;dv if…

  • You want unlimited recordings and transcription without paying.
  • You use HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho and want a note-taker beside it.
  • You want custom vocabulary on Business, or a note-taker that also works on iOS and Android.

Choose PromptLab if…

  • You want meeting notes on the deal and contact they belong to, with no sync to set up.
  • You want a lower first paid plan: $11.99 a user a month against $18.
  • You'd rather pay for one CRM than a CRM and a note-taker.
