What is an event planning template?
An event planning template keeps every event your team runs or attends in one table: what kind of event it is, whether it is confirmed, when and where it happens, what it costs and how many people registered. It replaces the spreadsheet tab that marketing and sales both edit and neither trusts.
In PromptLab it installs as a custom object with six sample events, from a trade show in Düsseldorf to an online webinar.

1Eight fields per event
Event, Type, Status, Date, Location, Budget, Registrations and Event page. Plastics Expo is a Confirmed trade show with a $45,000 budget and 320 registrations; the Q4 product webinar is still in Planning with 210 people signed up on a $1,500 budget.
Type covers Conference, Webinar, Meetup and Trade show, and Status runs Planning, Confirmed, Done and Cancelled, so a cancelled show stays on record instead of disappearing.

2Budget and turnout side by side
Budget is a currency field and Registrations a number, so the cost of each event sits next to the people it reached. Sort by Date to see what is coming up, or by Budget to see where the money goes.
3Shape it to your calendar
Add the fields you report on, an owner, leads collected or booth size, and rename the types to match your events. Every field and choice can be edited after install, and an existing event list can be imported as a CSV or Excel file.
