Close CRM review
Our Close CRM review for B2B product sales: a strong calling-first CRM, but quotes, samples and price lists are missing and workflows start at $99.
By the PromptLab team6 October 20264 min read
We make PromptLab, a competing CRM, so take our view with that in mind. Close's prices and features below come from its own site, and where Close is the better tool, as it is for calling, we say so.
The verdict: Close is a strong calling-first CRM, with a dialer, email and SMS built in and an AI teammate on every plan. A team that sells products needs more than calls: quotes, samples and price lists are missing, pipelines start at $35 and workflows at $99.

What Close does well
It is built for the phone. The dialer, email and SMS live inside the CRM, and higher plans add Power and Predictive dialling. For a high-volume calling team it is the stronger pick.
Chloe saves real time. Its AI teammate summarises calls and updates records on every plan. Call recording, meeting summaries and CRM autofill are all included.
It is open to AI tools. An MCP server and an API connect Claude, ChatGPT and your own systems.
WhatsApp and email are included. Email sync and WhatsApp work from the first plan. Four plans run from $9 to $139 a seat a month, billed annually.
The cheapest plan is cheap. Solo at $9 is a low door into a real calling tool, even though pipelines wait for Essentials, the next plan up.
Where Close falls short for B2B product sales
Close runs the conversation well, but not the paperwork behind it.
- Quotes, sales orders, sample tracking and price lists aren't part of it. The quote goes out from a spreadsheet the CRM never sees.
- Pipelines start on Essentials at $35 a seat, so the $9 Solo plan has no pipeline.
- Workflow automation starts at $99 a seat on Growth. On Solo and Essentials, it isn't available.
- No follow-up email drafts. The follow-up is still the rep's job, written from scratch after every call.
- No Telegram and no LinkedIn tool. Reps copy names and titles by hand.
- Single sign-on is Google only.
Say a packaging supplier with five reps wants pipelines and automation. That puts them on Growth at $99, or $495 a month for five seats billed annually, and quotes are still outside the system. Five seats on our Basic plan, with pipelines, workflows and quotes, cost $59.95 a month. Our Close CRM pricing post walks through the tiers.
