Pricing: a $9 Solo plan against a $14 Lite

Close has four plans from $9 to $139 a seat. Pipedrive has four from $14 to $79. Both offer a free trial. Close's top plan costs $60 more than Pipedrive's.

The $9 Solo plan makes Close the cheaper start, but it comes with no pipeline: pipelines begin on Essentials at $35. Pipedrive has pipelines at every price, which is the point of the product.

Calling is Close's home ground

Close's built-in dialer, with Power and Predictive dialling on higher plans, is its core, and it is the stronger pick for a high-volume calling team. Call recording, call summaries and CRM autofill are available on every plan.

Pipedrive records calls and summarises meetings on every plan through Nova, but its dialer starts on Growth at $39 a seat. For a team living on the phone, Close's dialer is the main reason to choose it.

Pipelines and automation

Pipedrive is built around the pipeline. Workflow automation starts on Growth at $39. On Close, pipelines start at $35 and workflows on Growth at $99.

A team that wants automation without the top tier gets there for $60 less on Pipedrive. A team on Close's Essentials plan has pipelines but no workflow automation.

Quotes, AI and follow-ups

Neither includes sales orders, sample tracking or price lists, and Close has no quotes at all. Pipedrive's quotes start on Premium at $59, and the same plan adds follow-up email drafts.

Close's Chloe summarises calls and updates records, but Close doesn't draft follow-up emails. Both connect to Claude and ChatGPT through MCP.

Email, messaging and security

Email sync and WhatsApp are included with Close. On Pipedrive both start on Growth at $39. Neither supports Telegram.

LinkedIn profiles need a marketplace app on Pipedrive, and Close doesn't offer it. Single sign-on is included on Pipedrive, while Close supports Google only.

We make PromptLab, so here is where it fits.
