ALTERNATIVES TOCloseRanked for B2B product sales#11PromptLabOUR PICK

Close is a calling-first CRM. The dialer, email and SMS are built in, and Chloe, its AI teammate, summarises calls and updates records on every plan. If your reps live on the phone, that is a real strength.

Teams usually start looking elsewhere when the sale stops being a call. A coatings rep who has to send a quote against a customer price list, or chase a sample, finds that Close has none of those records, and that pipelines start at $35 a seat while workflows start at $99. The best alternative for most product sellers is PromptLab, and the rest of this post explains why and where the others fit.

Why teams leave Close

Four reasons stand out, all visible in Close's own pricing and feature list.

  • No quotes, sales orders, samples or price lists. Close runs the conversation, not the paperwork behind it. The quote goes out from a spreadsheet the CRM never sees.
  • The plan ladder. Close has four plans, from $9 to $139 a seat a month, billed annually. Solo has no pipeline. Pipelines begin on Essentials at $35, and workflow automation on Growth at $99.
  • No follow-up drafts and no LinkedIn. Calls are summarised, but the follow-up email is still written from scratch, and there is no built-in way to save LinkedIn profiles.
  • No Telegram. WhatsApp is supported, but buyers who prefer Telegram stay off the account.

None of this matters to a pure outbound calling team. It matters a great deal to a distributor whose deals run through samples and repeat orders.

The best Close alternatives

1

PromptLab

Our pick
AI-native CRM for product sales
Paid plans, a month$11.99 – $99 per seat

Best for: B2B teams that sell products

We built PromptLab for manufacturers and distributors, so the records Close leaves out are the starting point. Quotes, sales orders, sample tracking and customer price lists sit on the account and the deal on every plan, from $11.99 a user a month billed monthly.

Pipelines and workflow automation are in that same first plan, not behind a $35 or $99 step. Meetings on Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams are recorded and transcribed, and AI writes the summary and drafts the follow-up email. Email, WhatsApp and Telegram share one Inbox, and the Chrome extension saves LinkedIn profiles.

The honest limit: if your team makes hundreds of cold calls a day, Close's dialer is the stronger tool. PromptLab's call dialer starts on Professional at $23.99, without Close's Power or Predictive dialling.

2

Pipedrive

Sales CRM
Paid plans, a month$14 – $79 per seat

Best for: Reps who want a simple pipeline with call recording

Pipedrive is one of the easiest sales CRMs to learn, and it is the closest swap for a team that wants a clean deal pipeline. Plans run from $14 to $79 a seat, billed annually. Call recording, meeting summaries and CRM updates from calls are included on every plan, and there is an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT.

It has gaps for product sales. Quotes start on Premium at $59, and samples, price lists and sales orders are not there. A dialer, workflow automation and WhatsApp start at $39, so the plan ladder will feel familiar.

3

HubSpot

Enterprise suite
Paid plans, a month$7 – $150 per seat

Best for: Teams that want marketing and sales in one suite

HubSpot is the most polished all-in-one suite around. It has a free CRM and a Starter plan from $7 a seat a month, billed annually, and a built-in dialer. Meeting summaries are included from the entry plan.

Where it costs more: call recording and follow-up drafts start at $90, quoting sits in a separate add-on, and Professional and Enterprise carry a $1,500 to $3,500 onboarding fee. See Best HubSpot alternatives if that is your next question.

4

Zoho CRM

Sales CRM
Paid plans, a month$14 – $52 per seat

Best for: Budget-conscious teams that want quotes and price books

Zoho CRM is the value pick among the big generalists. It is free for up to three users and paid plans run from $14 to $52 a seat, billed annually. Quotes, sales orders and price books start at $23, and follow-up drafts from the same plan.

Samples are not modelled, call recording comes through marketplace telephony apps, and Telegram is not supported. It suits a team that wants a low price and the wider Zoho suite.

5

monday CRM

Sales CRM
Paid plans, a month$12 – $28 per seat

Best for: Teams already on monday.com boards

monday CRM builds a sales process out of boards and columns. Plans run from $12 to $28 a seat, billed annually, with quotes from the Basic plan. The call recording, dialer, AI notetaker, workflows and email sync all start on Standard at $17.

Sales orders, samples and price lists are missing, and it has no WhatsApp or Telegram. It is a good fit if the rest of your company already works in monday.com.

6

Breakcold

AI-native CRM
Paid plans, a month$99 + $10/seat

Best for: Social sellers who work LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram

Breakcold puts LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram and email in one inbox, with a meeting recorder and MCP support. It is one $99-a-month plan with one seat included and $10 per extra seat. That makes it a better match than Close for LinkedIn-heavy outreach.

For a product sale, it has no quotes, samples, price lists or sales orders. AI use is metered in tokens beyond 3,000 included actions.

7

GoHighLevel

All-in-one marketing
Paid plans, a month$97 – $497 per account

Best for: Agencies that need a phone system and campaigns together

GoHighLevel is a marketing platform for agencies, with a built-in dialer, funnels and campaigns. It is priced per account, from $97 to $497 a month as of 2 October 2026, with usage charged on top for calls, messages and AI.

It does send estimates, but there are no sample records, price lists or B2B sales orders. Call recording is paid per minute. Choose it only if you sell marketing services to clients.

How to choose

Start with how a deal is won, not with the dialer.

  • Mostly calls, high volume: keep Close, or look at Pipedrive.
  • Quotes, samples and repeat orders: PromptLab, or Zoho CRM if you want the wider Zoho suite and can live without samples.
  • One suite for marketing and sales: HubSpot.
  • Chat and LinkedIn first: Breakcold, as long as you do not need product records.

Then check the plan you actually need. Close's headline $9 has no pipeline, so price Essentials at $35 or Growth at $99 for a fair comparison. Compare that with the plans on our pricing page.
