HubSpot and Pipedrive start from different places. HubSpot is a suite with marketing at its centre and a free CRM underneath. Pipedrive is a sales CRM built around the deal pipeline, and one of the easiest to learn.

Below, the two are compared on price, quoting, calls and AI, automation and messaging. Every figure comes from the vendors' own pricing and product pages; prices are per user a month, billed annually, unless we say otherwise.

Pricing: $7 to $150 against $14 to $79

HubSpot has the lower floor. Its Smart CRM is free, and paid Sales Hub plans start at $7 a seat a month on Starter. The top plan is $150. Pipedrive also has four plans, from $14 on Lite to $79.

HubSpot's headline price leaves out a fee: Professional and Enterprise carry a one-off onboarding charge of $1,500 to $3,500. Pipedrive, for its part, moves features up its ladder, with automation, email sync and WhatsApp from $39 and quotes from $59, so the plan you need is usually higher than the one in the banner.

Quotes and the order side of a deal

Neither is a full quote-to-order system. Pipedrive adds quotes on Premium at $59 a user a month. HubSpot moved quoting into Revenue Hub, a separate product sold on top of Sales Hub, so it counts as an add-on.

Both leave out sales orders, price lists and sample tracking. A team that sends trial batches or agrees customer-specific prices will keep that information outside either CRM.

Calls, meetings and AI

Pipedrive is the more generous here. Call recording, meeting summaries and CRM fields filled in from calls are included from the $14 plan, and follow-up email drafts start at $59. Its AI is branded Nova.

HubSpot keeps most of this higher up. Call recording, follow-up drafts and filling CRM fields from calls all start on Sales Hub Professional at $90 a seat. Meeting summaries are included from the entry plan. Both support MCP, so Claude or ChatGPT can connect to the CRM.

Automation, email and integrations

On HubSpot, workflows, the API and email sync are in the entry plan. On Pipedrive, workflow automation and full email sync start on Growth at $39, so a team on Lite sets up follow-ups by hand.

Pipedrive's strength is its marketplace of 500+ apps and its mobile apps, along with a pipeline view many reps already know. HubSpot's strength is breadth: its marketing automation goes well beyond a sales CRM.

Messaging, LinkedIn and security

WhatsApp is an add-on on HubSpot and starts at $39 on Pipedrive. Neither supports Telegram.

LinkedIn profile saving takes HubSpot's $150 tier or a marketplace app on Pipedrive. Single sign-on comes with Pipedrive, while HubSpot keeps it for the $150 tier.
