Pricing: $9 to $139 against $14 to $52
Close has four plans from $9 on Solo to $139. Zoho CRM's four paid plans run from $14 to $52, and it's free for up to three users. Both offer a free trial.
Zoho is far cheaper at the top, and free for a small start. Close's $9 Solo plan is the lowest paid entry, but its pipelines start at $35 and its workflows at $99. Zoho includes both from $14.
A calling tool against a suite
Close concentrates on the sales conversation, with calling, email and SMS built into one CRM. Its AI teammate, Chloe, summarises calls and updates records on every plan.
Zoho's strength is breadth. Dozens of Zoho apps sit next door, so a company that wants accounting, a help desk and a CRM from one vendor can get all three.
Calls, meetings and AI
Close records calls, summarises them and fills in CRM fields on every plan, and includes a dialer. Zoho CRM gets call recording and a dialer through marketplace apps, and has no AI meeting summaries.
The drafting works the other way round. Zoho writes follow-up email drafts from $23, and filling fields from calls starts at $40. Close has no follow-up drafts. Both support MCP.
Quotes, orders and price books
Zoho CRM adds quotes, sales orders and price books from $23 a user. Close has none of the three, so a quote goes out from a spreadsheet the CRM never sees.
For a team that sells products, that's the clearest difference between them. Samples are the gap they share: neither tracks them.
WhatsApp, LinkedIn and sign-in
Both work with WhatsApp, and neither supports Telegram. Zoho saves LinkedIn profiles from $23; Close has no built-in way to.
For sign-in, Close offers Google only, and Zoho's single sign-on starts at $40.
We make PromptLab, so here is why product teams pick it over both.
Why PromptLab is the better choice for teams that sell products
PromptLab is a CRM for B2B teams that sell products. On their entry plans, neither Close nor Zoho CRM includes quotes, sales orders, sample tracking, price lists, AI follow-up drafts and Telegram. PromptLab has all of them on every plan, from $11.99 a user a month.
Quotes, samples and price lists in the CRM
We keep quotes, sample tracking, price lists and sales orders on the account and the deal, on every plan. When the buyer calls back, the quote and the sample are right there.
