Pricing: $9 to $139 against $25 to $550
Close has four plans from $9 to $139 a seat. Salesforce has five editions from $25 to $550. Both offer a free trial.
Neither entry price tells the whole story. Close's $9 Solo plan has no pipeline, since pipelines begin on Essentials at $35. On Salesforce, quotes need Pro Suite at $100, and call recording is a $50 add-on on top.
Calling and call recording
Close is the stronger pick for a calling team. The dialer is built in, with Power and Predictive dialling on higher plans, and call recording, call summaries and CRM autofill come with every plan. It doesn't draft follow-up emails.
On Salesforce, call recording, summaries and follow-up drafts sit in Sales Engagement, an add-on at $50 a user a month, and the dialer is an add-on too. Filling CRM fields from calls starts at $195.
Pipelines, workflows and quotes
Close has no quotes, sales orders or price lists, so a quote goes out from a spreadsheet the CRM never sees. Its workflows start on Growth at $99.
Salesforce includes pipelines and workflows in every edition, and starts quotes, price lists and orders on Pro Suite at $100. Neither tracks samples; on Salesforce, that means building a custom object.
Setup and what you have to build
Close is ready for a calling team as it comes: the dialer, email and SMS are built in, and Chloe works on every plan.
Salesforce is the most configurable CRM there is, with Agentforce AI and AppExchange for almost any integration. The price of that range is the rollout: objects, flows and layouts, usually with an admin or an implementation partner.
MCP, API, WhatsApp and security
Close includes MCP and its API on every plan, along with WhatsApp. Salesforce starts MCP and API access at $195 and sells WhatsApp as an add-on.
Neither supports Telegram. Close offers Google sign-in only, while Salesforce includes single sign-on. For LinkedIn, Close has nothing built in and Salesforce relies on its marketplace.
We make PromptLab, so here is why product teams pick it over both.
Why PromptLab is the better choice for teams that sell products
PromptLab is a CRM for B2B teams that sell products. On their entry plans, neither Close nor Salesforce includes quotes, sales orders, sample tracking, price lists, AI follow-up drafts and Telegram. PromptLab has all of them on every plan, from $11.99 a user a month.
Quotes, samples and price lists in the CRM
We keep quotes, sample tracking, price lists and sales orders on the account and the deal, on every plan. When the buyer calls back, the quote and the sample are right there.
