Pricing: $9 to $139 against $65 to $150

Close has four plans: Solo at $9, Essentials at $35, Growth at $99, and a top plan at $139. Dynamics 365 Sales has three: Professional at $65, Enterprise at $105 and Premium at $150. Both offer a free trial.

Close's entry plan costs $56 less than the Dynamics entry plan, and its top plan $11 less. The low entry has limits: Close's pipelines start at $35 and its workflows at $99, while Dynamics 365 Sales includes both from $65.

Setup and who it's built for

Dynamics 365 Sales gives an admin a lot to decide, from environments and security roles to licences and Copilot credits, and many companies bring in a Microsoft partner. It suits a company standardised on Microsoft, especially one on a Dynamics ERP with IT staff to configure it.

Close is a single focused tool for the sales conversation, with an AI teammate, Chloe, that summarises calls and updates records on every plan.

Quotes, orders and price lists

Dynamics 365 Sales has quotes, sales orders and price lists built in from its $65 plan. Close has none of the three.

For a team that sells products, that's the biggest difference between them. Neither tracks samples.

Calls, meetings and AI

Close records calls, summarises them, fills in CRM fields and includes a dialer on every plan. On Dynamics 365 Sales, recording, summaries, follow-up drafts and the dialer start on Enterprise at $105, and CRM autofill and MCP on Premium at $150.

Close's gap here is follow-up email drafts, which it doesn't offer. Its MCP comes on every plan, while the Dynamics 365 Sales MCP server also needs Copilot Studio admin rights and Copilot credits, and Microsoft's docs say Claude Desktop isn't supported at this time.

Messaging, LinkedIn and sign-on

WhatsApp works with Close and is an add-on on Dynamics 365 Sales. LinkedIn tools are an add-on there too, and Close has no built-in way to save profiles. Neither supports Telegram.

Dynamics 365 Sales includes single sign-on. Close offers Google sign-in only.

We make PromptLab, so here is why product teams pick it over both.

Why PromptLab is the better choice for teams that sell products

PromptLab is a CRM for B2B teams that sell products. On their entry plans, neither Close nor Dynamics 365 includes sample tracking, AI follow-up drafts, Telegram and LinkedIn profile saving. PromptLab has all of them on every plan, from $11.99 a user a month.
