Pricing: $9 to $139 a seat against $99 plus $10 a seat

Close has four plans: Solo at $9, Essentials at $35, Growth at $99, and a top plan at $139. Breakcold has one plan at $99 a month with one seat included, $10 for each extra seat, and 20% less billed annually. Both offer a free trial.

Take five users. Breakcold comes to $139 a month, or $111.20 billed annually. Close costs $175 on Essentials and $495 on Growth. Close's $9 Solo plan is the cheapest way in, but its pipelines start at $35 and workflows at $99, while Breakcold includes both. Breakcold meters AI in tokens beyond 3,000 included actions.

A phone-first tool against a social inbox

Close concentrates on calling. Its AI teammate, Chloe, summarises calls and updates records on every plan, and the dialer is built in, with Power and Predictive dialling on higher plans.

Breakcold gathers LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram and email threads in one inbox, with a meeting recorder. Claude, ChatGPT and MCP come on its single plan.

Calls, meetings and AI

Both record calls or meetings, write summaries and fill in CRM fields, and both support MCP. Close has a dialer, which Breakcold lacks.

Breakcold also drafts follow-up emails, which Close doesn't. On Breakcold, though, call recording spends tokens.

Quotes and records

Neither has quotes, sales orders, price lists or sample tracking ready-made. Breakcold lets you build custom objects, but someone has to design and maintain them.

A product team on either CRM will keep its quotes somewhere else.

Messaging, LinkedIn and sign-on

Both work with WhatsApp. Breakcold also supports Telegram and saves LinkedIn profiles, and Close does neither.

Close offers Google sign-in only, and Breakcold has no single sign-on.

We make PromptLab, so here is why product teams pick it over both.

Why PromptLab is the better choice for teams that sell products

PromptLab is a CRM for B2B teams that sell products. On their entry plans, neither Close nor Breakcold includes quotes, sales orders, sample tracking and price lists. PromptLab has all of them on every plan, from $11.99 a user a month.
